Family Origins

My family hails from many different parts of Puerto Rico. Listed and mapped below are the towns my family originates from on the island of Puerto Rico throughout the years and the various surnames of both of maternal and paternal side. Notice how my paternal side tends to stick more to the western/central part of the island (with the exception of Toa Alta/Corozal), while my maternal side sticks more to the eastern/northern & southern sides of the island (with the exception of San Sebastián, Quebradillas, and Arecibo). Also included and mapped are the towns of origin from Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Spain. My goal is to ultimately map all of the towns and locations our family has roots in, so I can slowly but surely visit many of these areas. And thanks to Google Maps for making this an easy and creative task!
